Conducted a full knowledge management current state discovery and strategy development for a global blue-chip chemicals and manufacturing company with over 20 billion dollars in revenues. This project resulted in an action- oriented strategy and roadmap that helped connect several discrete initiatives, six sigma programs and KM efforts to a common framework and roadmap leading towards the goal of an enterprise wide employee portal. |

Communities of Practice for a Fortune 500 IT Company:
This client had numerous business purposed for communities ranging from those required to build core competencies of the organisation to those that would bring about new innovations and complement the companies ability to compete. We assisted with all aspect of the move to a new communities framework and platform for a large multinational services company we developed, implemented, lead the migration , deployed and managed the a Communities of practice frameworks. This included contributing to the definition of a communities operating model and the creation of various work products including: a communities behavioural website, various service delivery guides, and processes for managing collaborative spaces. |

Taxonomy, content migration and management for a large services company:
This company needed to migrate content from multiple discrete repositories to be accessed through a common web-based platform. We supported the taxonomy development and development of content life-cycle processes, migration and access of content from various corporate resources under a common user interface. Worked with technology team to ensure all content needs were implemented to support users across multiple languages and time zones |

Portal Development for a multinational enterprise with over 68,000 users:
Moving to its second generation portal, this multinational required assistance in all aspects of the implementation process from developing the requirements of the portal, to selecting vendors for the portal, search engines and other enabling tools. We helped throughout the requirements generation phase and the vendor selection phase. We then supported the client by serving as a key liaison between the technology teams and the client users to ensure that the portal implemented met usability and business needs of the enterprise and eventually supporting the communications, change management and deployment efforts for the launch of the portal. |

Major US Government finance and accounting Agency:
Led the implementation and piloting of a prototype KM Portal for the Finance and Accounting Agency within the US Department of Defense. This included requirements definition, cultural analysis, awareness briefings, and working closely with technical developers to create a user-focused system (Oracle 9i/ Livelink) that leveraged existing technology license structures. This implementation required the definition of a taxonomy based on the client (a finance organisation within the government) needs and launched communities of practice and the beginnings of a KM governance/champion team to support the plan.
Also developed the enterprise KM program implementation plan which included an change management, communities and KM Awareness plan to ensure buy in across the organisation. |

Developed unbound KM Architecture Solution:
A large scare national security agency was building cytological management system and required input on best practice knowledge management tactics to be incorporated into the highly secure system. We researched and documented a stand-alone KM architecture solution as input to this project which included, design principles, business processes, scalability, security and infrastructure considerations. |
